Makeover your furniture handles in seconds!

Do you have furniture handles that are proving too tough to be cleaned or (like these chest of drawers I have featured here), are unable to be removed?

Then why not follow this quick and easy method, to instantly transform your hardware and ultimately your piece of furniture.

As you can see from this picture and the picture below it, the handles are quite dull and dirty looking. I tried various tried and tested tips for cleaning hardware and although there was an improvement they still looked very lacklustre.

METHOD

1. Purchase some metallic rub (I am using an antique gold colour for these drawers, but there are various other colours available). It's also a cheaper alternative to updating hardware. This tube cost less than £6 and you're lucky if you can purchase two handles for this price!!

Take the metallic paste and a lint free cloth

Squeeze a pea-sized amount onto the cloth

Gently rub the paste onto the handle, taking care to rub the wax into any grooves.

Then buff the hardware to give it a bit of a sheen. You may need to apply another coat as some of the paste could rub off onto your cloth as you buff the handle!

There you have it...a quick, easy and economical glamorous metallic

transformation to your hardware and without even reaching for a screwdriver!!
